The enchanting beauty of Notre Dame

When I first visited Paris in 1999, the facade of the Cathedral of Notre Dame was covered with huge tarpaulins. Apparently the whole of Europe was preparing for the Jubilee, so restorations were being conducted in many of the most important churches. On my second trip to Paris in the mid-2000's, my then husband and I went to the Cathedral but failed to capture its true beauty since it was winter. It was a cloudy day, and all the pictures I took were blurry. At the time I still didn't have a digital camera. Yeah, call me old school. In 2012, my friend Emilie and I went to Paris, as part of our 28-day European tour. I took this picture one sunny day in June 2012. I guess it's true what they say: third time's definitely a charm.

Fishing Trip in Norway

Once upon another lifetime, I was married to a man who came from a land where nature's beauty abounds - Norway. It is truly one of God's masterpieces, with its mountains and fjords, clear blue lakes and midnight sun. During this part of my life, I made seven trips to Norway, and I experienced a lot of firsts. These pictures were taken during my first (and only) fishing experience. There are no people in the pictures, for the people don't matter. It's about the experience. I took these pictures with my Nokia N90.

The tiny boat we used.

Coffee: a fishing trip essential. Make sure you buy the kind of coffee you can boil.

Going back to the basics.

I caught 1 fish.

Gorgeous sunset was my reward.

The Midnight Sun

I took this picture during my last trip to Norway. It is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful countries I've been too.

Seoul Tower

The N Seoul Tower has many names. Officially it is called the YTN Seoul Tower. Some people call it the Namsan Tower or simply Seoul Tower. It was built in 1969 and was open to the public in 1980. It is a great place to take pictures of the city. The hop on hop off bus stops here, so make sure you don't miss this great tourist spot if you ever find yourself in Seoul.

Dog in Bilbao

Dog in Bilbao

The dog sits in front of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. Photo taken in June 2008 when I visited my sister while she was living in Pamplona.
